Weather

The weather can play a big part in deciding where to go, visit www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/ for a local update.

Hopefully the sun will shine, giving you the opportunity to get out and about. To enjoy the sun safely remember these golden rules:

Slip! on a shirt

Cover up with cool, loose fitting clothes.

Slap! on a hat

Wear a had that shades your face, neck and ears. Legionnaire caps are great for younger children.

Slop! on the sun cream

Use a high factor, water-proof sun cream. The Department of Health recommends a minimum of SPF 15.

Remember

Wear sunglasses and try to stay in the shade when the sun is at its hottest, between 11am and 3pm. On hot days your body will loose more fluid, so remember to drink lots of water.
