Helping school partnerships shine

The NCPTA LEAPP (Leaning, Education and Parental Partnership) Awards provides a £1,000 cash award as dedicated funding to help get more parents involved in their children’s education.

Research shows that targeted parental involvement has a positive benefit on pupil achievement.  The LEAPP Awards support the development of parental involvement within schools by funding innovative projects which expand the remit of home school partnership activities and/or the number of parents actively involved with schools in the education of their child.

The NCPTA will work with the winning schools to capture best practice information and share this as widely as possible.  This will include both those responsible for supporting parental involvement, including teachers and head teachers, governors, local authority practitioners and those responsible for developing policy centrally, and parents themselves through PTAs and other parent networks.

The purpose of the LEAPP Awards is to fund the direct costs associated with the delivery of parental involvement initiatives within schools or associated with schools.  They are aimed at individual schools or schools working in partnership.
