Gold Star Rewards

Recognising and Rewarding PTAs

The NCPTA Gold Star Rewards recognise the achievements of PTAs across different sectors of activity.  They offer two £1,000 cash prizes, in each of the following three categories:
PTA Fundraising Achievement

This category is about outstanding fundraising achievement but is not assessed purely on the amount of money raised.  The criteria also consider factors such as parental, pupil and community involvement; innovation and the overall impact on the school.

Changing the Life of a School

This category looks at PTA led projects that fundamentally change the life of the school for the better.  Fundraising is often an element but the criteria gives particular weight to activity that has a significant impact on the ethos of the school.

Achievement in Parental Involvement

This category considers initiatives that encourage sustained parental involvement that ultimately has a demonstrable impact on the school.   The criteria takes into consideration the ability to involve parents not usually involved in the life of the school.
