The Giant Sleepover 2010

Is your PTA ready to bed down and snooze for funds? The Giant Sleepover is a simple way for your PTA to raise money and give pupils a unique experience too.

What is the Giant Sleepover?

The Giant Sleepover (GSO) is a fantastic world record breaking event where tens of thousands of children across the globe sleep away from home for charity.

Who can take part?

It is open to children, parents, teachers and leaders from schools, PTAs and after and out of school clubs and organised youth and sports groups.

Where is it held?

Your PTA can choose where your sleepover will be held. It could be in the school hall, your school staff room, your local campsite or on the school field. Is there a quirky local venue you could approach?

Competition

Your PTA could win one of the Giant Sleepover's ‘Special Sleepovers’ through an exclusive competition for NCPTA members in fantastic locations across the UK.  Details of how and when to enter coming soon.

When is the Sleepover?

Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th June 2010 are the official dates.  As June 20th is Fathers' Day GSO plan to make that day a very special one with lots of surprises and fun for all the family, giving you the perfect opportunity to raise the profile of your association and to talk to more parents about the work you do and the difference you make. 

Is there a cost?

Group registration starts at £10 (per group of 15 or less children) and after that it costs £2 per child – see the GSO website for details.

How do we book / register?

Bookings are now being taken. You need to register online.

How will our PTA benefit?

GSO is a great fundraiser that is aimed specifically at children. And it's easy and flexible to organise. Not only that, the local media will love the story helping you raise your PTA's profile within the local community.

Insurance cover
