Information Centre

By regularly seeking the views of our Members, the NCPTA has developed a range of resources, which promote current good practice and support the efforts of your association. The Information Centre is a good starting point and signposts you to what is currently available.

We understand that PTAs have a strong focus on making money and running fundraising and social activities, so take a look at the Information sheets that are available, to explain the various aspects of organising successful events and managing your PTA.

There are some legal and constitutional considerations too. Essentials guides you through what may seem like daunting tasks such as charity registration, insurance cover, safeguarding children and health and safety at PTA events.

The NCPTA Suppliers' Directory has been developed following requests from members, looking for new ways to raise money or for suppliers of equipment. The directory will expand over time so make sure you visit the site regularly to see which organisations have been added. 

A booklet for new parents

The NCPTA has devised a template to enable members to write their own booklet for new parents  to welcome them to your school and to introduce them to the PTA. 

This information is intended to be a guide for you to use. You can use it in its entirety or just select the paragraphs that apply to your PTA, editing it as you wish.
