Greater London

Yvonne Treves is the NCPTA regional adviser for members in Greater London. Yvonne's contact details are: (t) 01992 444177, (m) 07734 044729, (e) yvonne.treves@ncpta.org.uk. Alternatively, the NCPTA Advice Line, 01732 375460 is open Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

My role as regional adviser encompasses many areas but chiefly that of supporting our member schools throughout all 33 London boroughs with fundraising advice and training, and introducing the NCPTA to schools without PTAs, helping them to set up their group and bringing them into membership.

I am, along with other regional advisers throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland, working in conjunction with local  authorities, to encourage parental involvement in schools. Typically we are in contact with home-school liaison officers, parental support advisers, school governors and extended schools coordinators.

This is the page of the website where we would like to see a real regional focus. We want to know of activities, schemes and ideas that are being undertaken in your local area, and similarly, we will post information here that we think will be useful for you and your PTA. If you have something that you would like to share with other local PTAs then email the details to yvonne.treves@ncpta.org.uk.  We will donate £10 to your association if we are able to use your story.

A key part of my role is to offer a series of free, local PTA workshops and events that will give PTAs the opportunity to receive fundraising advice, understand ways to get more parents involved and other key topical issues affecting PTAs. Visit events to see what's going on near you.

Three times a year, the named contact for your association will receive a copy of Your Area,  the NCPTA regional newsletter for Greater London. If you would like to make a contribution to this publication then please get in touch. The NCPTA will donate £10 to your association should we publish your story or idea.
