Hello and a warm welcome, from me Ann Sturgess, to all PTAs in the East Midlands. As your Regional Adviser I am available to support, advise and assist you at a local level, making sure you get the most from the range of benefits the NCPTA offers. As part of this localised support I will be running a series of free workshops and training events covering a range of topical issues. Visit events to see what I'm planning in your area.

Having been chair of a PTA I am familiar with the ups and downs you face and appreciate how reassuring it is to exchange ideas and concerns with people in a similar situation - these events will provide an ideal opportunity for you to meet others and share your experiences.

On behalf of PTAs in the region I will also be working in partnership with Childrens' Services, voluntary and other relevant organisations to promote positive home school links.

Three times a year, in September, January and April, the key contact for your association will receive a copy of the NCPTA regional newsletter for the East Midlands region, Your Area. If you would like to make a contribution to this part of the website and/or the Your Area newsletter, then please do not hesitate to get in touch. This part of the site will develop over time, so let me know what you would like included.  If you have a fundraiser that has been succesful or have overcome parent apathy or other problems, email me the details ann.sturgess@ncpta.org.uk  The NCPTA will donate £10 to your association should your story be published.
