The join in 50p Fundraising Trail is a simple fundraiser and one that all PTAs can participate in.
To recognise and raise awareness of the valuable contribution made by PTAs around the country, the NCPTA held its second NCPTA join in day, on Tuesday 10 June 2008. Many PTAs around the country marked this special focus day, by holding a 50p Fundraising Trail. Not only did this event raise money for schools up and down the country, participants helped the NCPTA to highlight the value of PTAs on a national scale.
You can still hold a 50p fundraising trail at your school. To assist with your planning and preparation the NCPTA has produced a 50p Fundraising Trail pack which includes promotional materials to help you publicise the event and a step by step guide to running a successful trail.
The NCPTA has developed curriculum materials too for use in primary schools; speak to your Headteacher about using these materials to make this a whole school event and to raise anticipation and awareness of the trail.
