NCPTA join in day
Join in, raise money and awareness of your PTA.
To recognise and raise awareness of the valuable contribution made by PTAs around the country, each year the NCPTA calls upon its members to take part in NCPTA join in Day. This year's join in day will be held on Wednesday June 23.
The day will provide NCPTA members with an opportunity to showcase their achievements and to raise the profile of your PTA within the school and local community. We've put together a selection of ways for your PTA to mark join in day.

50p trail fundraiser
Many PTAs mark NCPTA join in Day by holding a 50p fundraising trail. This is a simple activity that the whole school can support as curriculum materials are available too. The fundraising pack explains how you go about organising the event and shares with you some of the success stories from last year's trail.
Word searches
Another simple way to raise money as part of NCPTA join in Day. We've produced two word searches, a summer themed one for young children and one based on the teams taking part in this year's FIFA World Cup. Simply download, print the required quantities and sell.
Quiz night
A great social event for adults, a quiz night is something that is likely to raise some money for your PTA as well. We have written an Information sheet on planning and promoting a quiz night and to save you money we've commissioned 12 rounds of quiz questions. You can use them all, pick and mix or supplement with your own.
Giant Sleepover
If you want to try something a bit more ambitious, then the Giant Sleepover could be just the thing. Your PTA can choose where your sleepover will be held. It could be in the school hall, your school staff room, your local campsite or on the school field. Is there a quirky local venue you could approach? As well as raising money, you could also be part of a world record breaking attempt where tens of thousands of children across the globe sleep away from home for charity.
